The last major State Route in Struthers is SR 289. This state route is 9.93 miles that runs east to west in the northeast area of Ohio. In Struthers SR 289 is also known as Broad Street. This route connects Lowellville to Struthers and runs to Youngstown .

Struthers Senior TransportationStruthers recently offered a new means for transportation for the disabled and the elderly. The city purchased a new van with the help of federal transportation funds and Struthers paid for the remaining cost.

Struthers has several State Routes and quick access to highways for easy traveling. This city is within a short distance to other cities. Traffic in Struthers is mild to moderate compared to the other cities nearby. There are many transportation services in and around Struthers for people who do not have access to cars. A major strength for Struthers would be the new Senior Transportation service for the elderly and disabled.
Weakness
The major weakness in transportation for Struthers would be the road conditions. Most of the roads in Struthers are in fair to poor condition. With all the cracks and potholes in the road, it can lead to unsafe driving especially during the winter months. The drivers may swerve and try to dodge the potholes which can cause them to lose control and hit other cars or pedestrians. The pedestrians tend to walk on the road or on the side of roads due to the lack of sidewalks on most streets.
